About Us

Hi there!

Welcome to our little blogspot where we chronicle our journey through all things finance, health, and relationships–the areas in which we are seeking abundance.  We started this project to reflect on our thought processes, memorialize meaningful events, and serve as a catalyst for growth.  As a millennial couple both working in healthcare and living in SoCal, many of the topics presented on this website were originally born of discussions with friends and colleagues of similar background.  We realized that though many of our challenges were not unique, our approach and perspectives differed greatly, often even between the two of us.  We hope to entreat you with topics involving career satisfaction and longevity; individuation and growth within a relationship; managing finite resources of time, finances, and energy; cultivating and nurturing a relationship between two opinionated boys; and more!  Join us on a journey through our internal world–we’d love to hear your thoughts!

A little about Peter:

Peter has been working as a pharmacist since 2014.  He worked initially in retail pharmacy, but eventually found himself transitioning into working for a large healthcare system.  There, he grew into more managerial roles and responsibilities.  Though Peter was well-suited for this position, he found himself wanting to make a larger impact on health systems.  This was when he pivoted to working in IT, and is now working on system wide projects for a local hospital.  As Howard often phrases it: Peter designs and upkeeps the electronic medical system that doctors utilize on a daily basis.  Peter is not entirely sure what is in store for his professional career at this time, but has been actively working to expand his skill sets.  His pursuits outside of healthcare include real estate, artificial intelligence, and automations.  He is also consistently working to optimize all aspects of his life and maximize his time efficiency.

A little about Howard:

Howard officially finished all of his medical training in 2024, and started working as a geriatric psychiatrist since then.  In his role, he treats mental illness for all adults across their lifespans within a large health system.  Medical training for physicians is a long and grueling process, through which Howard developed a true appreciation for work-life balance.  With newfound time and flexibility as an attending, he is now looking to enrich life experiences outside of work.  This includes practicing his rudimentary Vietnamese, building a cozy home, and improving his physical health.  He has already stumbled across many common pitfalls for newly minted attending physicians–mostly financial, for which he turns to Peter.  This relatively new chapter of Howard’s life has opened many opportunities for introspection.  But more than ever, he is now seeking ways to lead a life well-lived and finding contentment in his everyday life.
